Whether certifying a restaurant, supervising a wedding hall, overseeing a commercial kitchen, or simply maintaining the highest standards in one’s own home, proper knowledge of Hilchos Kashrus is essential. Many times, decisions must be made quickly — sometimes without immediate access to a Rav — such as on Shabbos or Yom Tov.

A collaboration between Machon Limud Halacha – Lemaan Yilmedu and OK Kosher Certification, one of the largest and most respected kosher certifying agencies, this course blends in-depth halachic learning with practical, hands-on training.

The course features weekly shiurim by Rabbi Yossi Barber, a renowned kashrus teacher known for his clarity, depth, and practical approach to halacha. You'll learn directly from the Shulchan Aruch and its commentaries, with a focus on applying halacha to real-life shlichus scenarios. In addition, expert rabbonim from OK Kosher will deliver shiurim based on their extensive Halachic knowledge and years of practical experience.

Classes are accompanied by summarized booklets with clear diagrams and visual aids and English translations of source texts for easy referencing. Classes are recorded and accessible at your convenience, making it easy to keep up, no matter your schedule.

The course is also ideal for Shluchim actively involved in kashrus supervision, as well as aspiring mashgichim and anyone seeking to strengthen their practical knowledge of Hilchos Kashrus. It equips participants with all the essential skills and halachic understanding needed to supervise restaurants, events, commercial kitchens, and more.

Graduates who successfully complete the course will receive a "Kashrus Expert" certification issued by Lemaan Yilmedu.
